Found out gt thunder don't have a guard for both sides of the sprocket on a 2005 yfz because of the retarded swinger design. Arrrrrrg! Is there anything else unique to the 04-05 model?

Bling Star is doing some new stuff with the rotor skid and sprocket guard. We saw it up at the dealer expo.

careful with the dual guards, I know several who have derailed chains. the dual guard gives rocks, etc, no where to go. I run a skid and have no problems with high centering...just keep on the gas. braap

The Sprocket Rotor guard is a lot better set up....They cant design a skid to fit that close....Did you race last weekend??....If you did I'm sure you high centered a couple times.......

I opted for the outer guard, too many horror stories about busted cases.

Look at the KTM team at the next GNCC. They quit running a sprocket guard and started using the skid plate because if the sprocket guard kits somthing hard enough it woll shear the Sprocket bolts off.

Just thought I would pass this on.

I run a single sided Sprocket guard That Andy made. It is stainless steel and has worked well. I would be worried about the rotor as I have bent mine before.

I do not ride with a driver that text messages while driving, say NO also and put this in your signature.
