I am looking into getting into xc racing. I have never done this before but am very interested. I am 33 and have ridden off and on since I was a kid. Looking to get better and have a little fun. I have a Gas Gas 200. What class would I be in and are there any others like myself. I don't even know how to get started. Anyone I can talk to that can help guide me on the adventure. I am really excited about this.
I am not sure what class you would be in. I would say first year racer. It is alot of fun, with very good people. Just come out and play. It is $12.00 to get in and $30.00 to race. So come on out and join the fun.

When you say come on out. Where do I come out to. So are there very many first year racers. This type of thing is just what I have been looking for. Also I will probably be giving you some business as I need bike fixed. ha ha..
Hey, we are new to MWXC this year too. Can't wait, ready to race and get to know some new people. The schedual is posted to left and it looks like there are some addreses to some of the tracks too. We are from Crawfordsville about 2 miles from the GNCC ironman track.
This is going to be my first year also I'm 47 Just keep checking message boards and the directions are on the site. I went and watched one last year (dont tell my wife) I ask for directions when I got close drove right to it
Thats cool thanks for the info everyone. I can't wait. It should be fun. Anyone going out before the first race to practice? If so when and where. Would love to get out and ride with some people.
The order for starting is kids (if at the event), bikes, then quads. I think kids start around 9 am, bikes around 10:30 am, and then quads around 1 pm. These times may not be exact, but give you a general idea. ----------
To all the new riders/racers welcome to the series. Andy and Gary are great people. Come out early before the race and meet some new friends. The second race of the season is at my place and we are goimg to have a hog roast saturday. Come on out and enjoy the evening with us.
