I would run it if it came back. I have talked to a lot of riders that would. I thought some of the last tracks there the best ever.

I would have to agree with you. I have also talked to a lot of people that would like to see some back at haspins. I think having the majority there and a few others within a short distance would be great. I would like to see say 4 at haspins maybe 2 at Greencastle and maybe 2 at the badlands. That would make it best 6 of 8 count. Maybe add another one to make 7 of 9 count.

The only way I would race Haspin is if they closed the place down for the race, I've raced there twice and have had close calls with trucks/jeep and other riders. It might be close but not worth the close encounters. It's too bad because it would be a great place for a race.

ITS NICE PLACE TO HAVE A RACE,BUT LIKE NAILBENDER SAID THEY NEED TO SHUT DOWN THE PLACE AND HAVE MORE OFFICIALS OUT ON THE TRAILS TO CATCH THE CHEATERS CUTTING TRAILS! I WAS THERE 2YRS AGO RACED IN THE HALLOWEEN 100, I KNOW THAT I WAS IN 2ND BY THE TIME AND AT THE END GOT 4TH NO FING WAY!!!

I havent rode Haspin since the late 90's...and it was cool riding and trails...but everything else stunk...

people going everywhere...people cutting the course...

last time I went there got air lifted by t boning a 4 wheelers cutting across the big mx track...

they should shut it down for a race...

Hey guys, I have been reading all the messages in regard to Haspin. Just to let you know, I am going to be running the series and share the same concerns. Having raced there for many years. What I can tell you is we are setting up the course away from the main part of the park and will have a number of spotters with 2-way radios positioned around it. The # 1 goal is to keep the riders safe and free of non-participants. I respect your decisions either way if you do not come to Haspin. Ironically, the more riders on the course, the better. Hope you can make it.

Kirk T, what do you mean you are running the series? Do you mean a series separate of MWXC where all the races are at Haspin? Is this for 2010 or plans of a series in 2011? I'd just like to be in the know. Thanks.

Mickdee, Yes I am setting up and running a series at Haspin this year 2010. It was scheduled to make sure it does not conflict with the MWXC series.
go to: haspinharescrambles.com
for all the information.
Hope to see you there! Thanks, -- Kirk --
